Vocational Workplace Assessments
A vocational workplace assessment involves our occupational health physiotherapist meeting the employee at their place of work for a face-to-face assessment.
They are for sedentary desk-based employees or for those in more physically demanding roles who require more support with returning to work after an extended period of absence or significant injury.
The assessment typically takes 2-3 hours and gives your employee the opportunity to discuss their health and work, unpick the work demands required in their role, and importantly compare their ability to complete these inlight of their injury.
Our physiotherapists are also there to assess the environment within the work area to risk assess how the employee can manage but also if any additional equipment or work considerations are required before they return to work.
The vocational workplace assessment report extensively reviews the underlying health condition, fully details the physical demands of the roles, outlines each work related, and any recommendations that you may need to consider.
These assessments are extremely useful for employees who have been off for an extended period of time, are nervous about a return to work or there is not a return to work plan yet in place.
We accept referrals directly from organisations but also case managers and income protection handlers.
